TOO CUTE!
Everybody has decided that soft kibble is great stuff and they are all eating like pigs and growing like weeds. Melody and Valerie escaped from the nursery this morning so that they could lay near the pool since they knew mom was in there.
Trying to change their blankets was fun last night - I forgot to put every body in the crate first and my ankles are all bit up from being attacked by the munchkins. LOL
I pick up their bed and change it out and mop the floor every morning before they get fresh blankets. The pussycats think this is some type of game that I invented just for their entertainment.
SWIMMING ANYONE?
Much to my surprise, Valentine was the first one over the edge and out of the kiddie pool on their last night to sleep in the pool. Valerie and Melody were quick to follow. Brown whined and whined until I finally felt sorry for her and helped her out. Then, I couldn't keep her in there. They are growing up too fast!

THE ESCAPE!
Not to be outdone by the older dogs, there was very loud puppy yelping coming from the nursery last night. I went to investigate and Melody had gotten out of the pool and was sitting in the corner, facing the wall with this "Oh my what have I done" look. I gathered her up and snuggled her before putting her back in with her sisters.

WE ARE GROWING...
The little Pussycats are ready to start eating soft food and Josie says the sooner the better. I will be installing their escape proof (haha) doorway to the puppy area and start feeding them soft food in addition to Josie's feedings this weekend. They are little chunks and really starting to play now.

EVERY NEW PARENT COUNTS TOES...
We can't believe how much our foster mom worries about us. She found "extra" toes on 2 of us and was really concerned. Thank goodness she found out that they are ONLY dew claws! All that worrying for dew claws? Maybe we need to count her toes tonight? Maybe she thought we were aliens? We do live near a corn field after all!
ONE HAPPY FAMILY, ONE TIRED MAMA!
The pussycats are cutting teeth and poor little Josie is sooo very tired. This morning she curled up on the blanket for her massage and was sound asleep in just a few minutes. I believe that Valerie will be the first one out of the pool this week and I'm designing a new containment system for the little darlings.
Josie and Julie are now meeting me after work at the door!! What a greetiing!
